Our content is machine-generated, which means it will contain errors. This page is the public, dated record of the ones we know about. We do not silently edit a page and move on: when we publish something materially wrong, the correction gets an entry here with a date, a description of what was wrong, and what we did about it.

FFNTF reports described the wrong company

What was wrong
Our research universe mapped the symbol FFNTF to Fire & Flower Holdings Corp. FFNTF is the OTC symbol for 4Front Ventures Corp. Automated coverage published under FFNTF therefore carried the business description and analysis of the wrong issuer.
What we did
The symbol-to-issuer mapping is being corrected in our security universe, and every report published under FFNTF is being re-reviewed and removed from search indexing until it is regenerated against the correct issuer. This entry will be updated with the completion date.

Reports generated for securities that no longer trade

What was wrong
Our research universe was assembled as a static list and was not re-validated against delistings and acquisitions. As a result, scheduled reports continued to be generated for securities that are no longer trading — including Fire & Flower Holdings Corp., which entered Canadian creditor-protection proceedings in 2023, and HEXO Corp., which was acquired by Tilray in 2023 and whose ticker was retired. Presenting a dead security as an active research subject is misleading regardless of what the report says.
What we did
We are auditing the full universe against current listing status, removing non-trading securities from the generation schedule, and de-indexing the affected reports. This entry will be updated with the completion date and the count of securities removed.

Arithmetic error in a compound-interest worked example

What was wrong
A beginner education article illustrating compound growth contained a worked example whose stated end value does not follow from the contribution, rate and time period given in the same example. Readers using the example to sanity-check their own math would have been misled about the size of the effect.
What we did
The article is being re-verified and the example recalculated. Because our educational content is machine-generated, we are also reviewing sibling articles that use the same style of worked example.

How We Handle Corrections

  • Factual errors are corrected on the page and logged here. The URL stays the same so inbound links and citations keep working.
  • Systemic errors get a single entry covering the whole class. When a generation fault affects many pages, we describe the fault rather than filing hundreds of near-identical entries.
  • Content we can no longer stand behind is removed from search indexing rather than quietly left up to accumulate traffic.
  • Typos and formatting fixes are not logged. This page is for errors of fact and for anything that could have affected how a reader understood a security.
  • Disagreement with an opinion or a sentiment rating is not a correction. Those are model outputs, and are labeled as such.
